The Place des Nations in Geneva is one of the two main entrances to the Palais des Nations, the headquarters of the United Nations for Europe. It is unlikely that this project will be built there given the heightened security measures of this perimeter which includes many international organizations that benefit from extraterritoriality. Untouchable international officials are already subject to stringent security measures and may fear the presence of such a memorial which could attract more visitors and thus increase risks and controls. The Place des Nations is the scene of a wide variety of events, not all of which are favourable to the supporters of the single Memorial... Finally, the Place des Nations, as its name suggests, is not considered an attractive place but rather a no-man's land to be avoided.
